Abandoned valley trekking tour full day is perfect for individuals willing to put in some extra work to get further into the jungle and explore some truly unspoiled tropical rain forests and caves. On this trekking tour, you will hike through the original Ho Chi Minh trail to the secluded Abandoned valley in the heart of Phong Nha Ke Bang national park. In the Abandoned valley, we will guide you to two very special caves, En cave, and Dark cave. At this private side of Dark cave, you will have the opportunity to explore 800m into the darkness with your guide. Then, once at En cave, we will feed you with a delicious jungle BBQ (vegan options available) before swimming in the amazingly blue waters of the cave. Just this 1-day trekking tour, we want to show you the true power of Vietnam’s natural beauty.

Itinerary

Pick up at the hotel and transfer to our office for Abandoned valley trekking tour full day.

Safety briefing to plan the trip, clarify rules and regulations in the national park.

Depart to Abandoned valley by van.
09:15 AM
Arrive at the trek departure point and start trekking through the jungle to the Abandoned valley.
11:00 AM
Available at the Dark cave exit.
11:00 AM – 12:30
Next, explore 800m inside Dark cave.

Start trekking along the river to En cave.
01:30 PM
At entrance of En cave, have BBQ lunch, swim in the crystal clear spring from En cave, and explore En river cave (300m – optional).
03:30 PM
After that, begin trekking on a different trail in the Abandoned valley to Ho Chi Minh road.
05:30 PM
Back to Ho Chi Minh road, enjoy cold drinks on the road.
05:45 PM
Drive back to Phong Nha.
06:15 PM

- Cancellation 10 days in advance is subject to 30% of the total cost

- Cancellation 3 – 5 days in advance is subject to 75% of the total cost
- Cancellation 2 days in advance is subject to 100% of the total cost
