Geographical

Vietnam is a country situated along an S-shaped strip of land in the center of Southeast Asia. Vietnam’s area is 330,000 km². Vietnam’s land border is 4,639 km long. Bordering the Gulf of Thailand to the southwest. Gulf of Tonkin and East Sea to the east, China to the north, Laos and Cambodia to the west.

The war in Vietnam ended on April 30, 1975. After the war ended, the entire population increased production and built the country. The country is on the path of stable development in all aspects of life, economy, and society. Currently, the World Bank (WB) assesses Vietnam will be the leading economy in East Asia. Besides building a strong economy, People always maintain and protect the tangible and intangible cultural heritage left by their ancestors.

The country is divided into 3 regions: North, Central, and South. Hanoi is the capital, though not the biggest urban center. The Hue Citadel, an epitome of the Nguyen Dynasty’s legacy, safeguards the recollections of a robust feudal era. Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon, is the largest economic center in the country.

Landscape
