Previously, the pottery village was formed in Thanh Chiem village and then moved to Thanh Ha ward, Hoi An city. Today, there is a shrine to worship the Ancestors here. Every year on January 10, spring sacrifices will be held, worshiping ancestors, praying for a year of favorable rain and wind.

The 17th and 18th centuries were the heyday of Thanh Ha pottery.
